The Committee will follow-up the excellent work of TechQuest’s 2011 Government Technology Commission, formed to advance technology industry interests with the transition-team and new administration.

To advance positive change, the committee and its members will agree to use positive engagement with technology leaders in government, industry and academia.  Further, the committee will actively engage the technology community to help identify solutions to the root causes of many of the challenges facing Pennsylvania technology/innovation programs and IT acquisition/implementation systems in addition to showcasing best practices.

We will pick up the initiatives from the Commission as well as add additional focus areas based upon the priorities identified by George White and the CIO office.   To accomplish our objectives, interested committee members will be assigned tasks and assignments to leverage our time and resources.

Scott McCabe, COO of IMR and a member of the TechQuest Board of Directors, will chair the Government Technology Committee.

Meeting Schedule:  1st   and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 08:30 AM at TechQuest HQ.  Meeting Dates shall be December 6 and 20 and then: January 3, 17, February 14, 28, and March 6, 20 in 2012.  We will have an agenda for each meeting that will keep us on track to complete the tasks identified that need to be worked on.  The December meetings will be focused on organizational structure and identifying high level objectives for each committee.
